On Valentine's Day 2009, my boy of eight years completely surprised me by proposing. Previously, I avoided thinking about wedding planning because I didn't think I would ever have one.
Now my practical self (and my boy's) that just wants a simple, fun party is arguing with the price tags of nearly everything.
This is where I am collecting inspiration and keeping advice on how to stay sane.

the first dress I bought was midnight blue. and I love that dress, but, it's not quite special enough for "the day." so the second dress I bought was navy - it's plain, it's silk, it's a bridesmaids dress, I look great in it, but, like I said, it's plain, so. I will be tearing it up and I will make it mine.
but here's the thing, I am constantly stricken with doubts that I should be wearing white despite the main reason I'm not - I don't like white because I don't look good in white. everyday, I look for evidence that white is not always the way to go.
did I miss something gorgeous? tell me at brokensaucer {at} gmail {dot} com.
