a little outside inspiration

Maybe I've been looking at too many wedding blogs, maybe I'm frustrated that spring isn't coming fast enough (because after two promising days, I can see the clouds gliding in again to remind me of where I live), and maybe it's because I can't play with my flowers because they aren't yet in season, but I'm at a loss for how to construct my wedding. After finishing the save-the-date design, I moved right on to flowers. Which is silly and weird because I'm having trouble with the invitation design so shouldn't I be focusing on that? But then, now I feel like we have to have a theme before I do the invitations, and, let's be realistic, I'm avoiding things that aren't as fun, as usual.

But two things really excited me today:

1) I received the save-the-date's from Vista Print and they are super cute! (so I guess that means I should start that guest list spreadsheet now, sigh) But I won't be posting a photo of them, until I start mailing them out, which will be by Saturday, at the latest, woo hoo!
and
2) the lovely and talented Amanda, from the Blissful Bride has accepted my challenge/desperate plea to build me an inspiration board. Yay! I'm just a little stumped, and could use a little push in the right direction. I was really impressed with her choices in the regal purple board she did for Julia of Paper Ballerinas, and then started loving the rest of her blog... and isn't that how we all get started?

p.s. okay 3) from erin ever after's etsy find of the day: (I kinda want to register for this...)

  1. Glad to know that I am not the only that feels a little bit like I am running in circle, but it sounds like you are finding inspiration and making progress. I hope that I find some soon :) My list has been getting very few check marks lately.

  2. You are too sweet. I can't wait to do it and I am thrilled that you like my blog. Actually, as I think I told you, I'm quite excited about the challenge of your board. The colors and ideas are so fresh.

By the way, if you were happy with VistaPrint, you should enter my contest (posted yesterday) for 100 free magnets, invitations, and thank you cards -- even if you don't use them all specifically on your wedding you could use them for anything.

Look forward to working with you!
